假设奇幻的基础是架空的过去，或者说重新书写历史/重现某种价值观的欲望，那么T. H. White不受吾朝重视的原因只有一个：他所重构的这一切既不像LOR那般古老辉煌，也并非当代奇幻这样残缺向前，而恰恰类似于中国文化已遗弃的那种自然世界观。
