兩天看完瞭，毛姆的言情小說寫得不賴啊。挺有趣的故事，最後還挺喜歡這個Rowley的。雖然外錶，事業，地位等等方麵都比不上Edgar，但人傢懂女人，而且有趣。女人並不是要嫁一個完美的男人嘛。

一個乘虛而入的故事

從篇幅、結構、場景描寫，到大量的對話，都使這本小說從形式上像極瞭劇本，故事情節還有理想有愛情有血腥有懸疑，所以果然拍成瞭電影。

A man of virtue can be a slave of his own integrity; A unscrupulous scamp has his own merits ( perhaps only in the eyes of silly woman). -- I am not very sure if dear Signor Maugham really meant it or he was actually teasing the less superior creatures again (as what he usually did).

毛姆大大又網文體瞭! 倒是可浪漫喜劇可風光可文藝可故弄玄虛推理 總之我腦洞的影視方嚮都要推翻原作就對瞭哈哈!

这本书放到现在来说，在情节上只能属于popular fiction，不过毛姆的高明在于他的措辞，开篇就已经让人看了睡不着觉——太兴奋了。看完也睡不着觉，还是因为太兴奋了。对人物的刻画，心理的描写这些方面都可以让我原谅自己看了一本类似通俗小说的书，并且乐在其中。还会继...
