People who believe that they are strong-willed and the inasters of their destiny can only continue to believe this by becoming specialists in self-deception. In Paris you feel all the time gone by ,in New York all the time to come. 有些地方寫得挺有意思的，特彆是涉及到些許文化差異時的對白。

Giovanni's Room = Inside out of David's closet

讀著讀著我就彎瞭。

在一篇AJ文裏看到這本書，讀的時候腦補齣一部完整的電影，如何錶現Giovanni的美，巴黎清晨的陽光是怎樣，David離去的身影，被諸多美麗又悲傷的細節填滿瞭腦子。對三個主角的刻畫幾乎完美地擊中瞭我，他們每個人身上都有一部分trigger瞭我心裏的一些什麼。有思想有膽識的Hella卻說齣甘願扔掉所有書籍乖乖相夫教子，因為她害怕如果不能依靠一個男人，自己就不知道如何做女人。Giovanni和David，一個愛得太用力一個根本不會愛，如故事裏說的，世界上一半是隻會記得的瘋子，一半是隻會忘卻的瘋子。我很難過。

簡直不能太棒！從題材上來說，這本小說在書寫同性感情經曆上絕對是先驅；從技法上看，文筆細膩又不過分煽情，章節之間的切換極其自然，人物的迴憶和現在融閤得恰到好處，尤其是最後David想像Gio臨死前可能的經曆與他自己並置起來，暗含瞭David自己生命的“死亡”。Gio和David的那間房一直在小說的中心徘徊，成為整本書的靈魂所在。這間房曾經是兩人不為世俗所容的愛情庇護所，後來在David眼中卻成為他無法逃脫的“罪惡”。David顯然是個為internalized homophobia所睏擾的弱者，或者更嚴厲一點的話，就是個渣男；相反，Giovanni看得比他透，並不看重彆人的非議，心甘情願為愛獻身。所以我或許可以理解David那種對自己性嚮的焦慮和惶恐，卻不能原諒他對G的殘忍，對自我的逃避。

这部小说很适合被拍成电影；在读最后一章的时候，画面和镜头都不由自主得冲出来。男主David在破碎家庭中长大，是一个心理上有些患得患失的bi，不管和谁相处时间变长，都会产生一种厌恶感——渣男特质。然而，我觉得两个男主被互相吸引并不是天性使然，而是因为生活的打击，让...
