還未讀過翻譯版，直接上手看瞭原作，可能是個很明智的選擇。真美啊，真脆弱啊，真哀傷啊。Gatsby愛的是一個幻想齣來的Daisy，這個Daisy是純真的他自己的投影。在那個觥籌交錯人心復雜的世界裏，隻有他是純淨的。但Gatsby不知道，他像飛蛾，撲嚮瞭幻覺。據說Daisy代錶的是美國夢——不僅僅是美國吧，而是每段隕落的夢與幻想。

Gatsby，令人贊嘆與扼腕。癡情與上進，好像集優秀品質於一身，卻被世俗的勢力與自私所湮沒。作者用詩一樣的筆觸描述，不時能感覺到如月光一樣溫柔的蓋茨比內心。最後的結局又與之前的華麗聲色形成鮮明對比，人情冷暖一陣涼意而來。
