Mihai Fulger felt the need to bring into discussion the notion of "new wave" which is circulated among commentators Romanian film and beyond. The book brings together 12 interviews with filmmakers from the first line of the new cinema romanesti.Este about Caranfil Nae, Thomas Ciulei, Alexandru Solomon, Cristi Puiu, Hanno Höfer, Cristian Mungiu, Florin Iepan, Radu Muntean, Catalin Mitulescu, Tudor Giurgiu, Constantin Popescu and Corneliu Porumboiu. Each interview is preceded by a brief curriculum vitae and succeeded by a brief signed by reading a film critic (Dana Duma, Catalin Sturza, Andrei Cretulescu, Laurentiu Bratan, Alex. Leo Serban, Valerian Sava, Michael Chirilov etc.)

As the year 2006 was particularly fast in Romanian production awards and recognition abroad, such a short expedition in universe each of the 12 filmmakers interviewed is more than beneficial.
