读完了，很喜欢。读完这本书感受到奥威尔的冷静自持，情感深重又充满理智，是仔细观察之后的剖白，是冷峻的反思。书皮上说奥威尔被称为“欧洲的良心”，“西方的鲁迅”，就看过的几篇作品而言,并没有夸大过誉之嫌。 这本书的前半段写奥威尔走访威根的所见所闻，从矿工的工作内...  

乔治奥威尔，我认识他更多的是他两本书，1984，动物庄园这类政治寓言故事。对于他的身份也是因为这两本书而定的，一名记者，科幻作家，但看了这本书，给了我更多关于他的理解，这是作者在1934年附近来说旅行英国北部几个工业区进行了考察，总结了自己的心路历程、在缅甸时的苦...
