I's obsessed w/ Amy's writing in this book, not sure if it's the story per se, or the "outsider's" pov on Chinese identity yet she might not be able to escape that spirit in her from the start. The conflict was within herself & laid out an interesting perspective that I could relate to & turn my own way of seeing things around. Gwendoline's superb!
