著者简介

Michelle McNamara (1970–2016) was the author of the website True Crime Diary. She earned an MFA in fiction writing from the University of Minnesota, and had sold television pilots to ABC and Fox and a screenplay to Paramount. She also worked as a consultant for Dateline NBC. She lived in Los Angeles and is survived by her husband, Patton Oswalt, and their daughter, Alice.

"You’ll be silent forever, and I’ll be gone in the dark." 对人渣的宣言。

推荐给爱好true crime的读者。但是评分的话觉得还是只有3.5吧，可惜在于作者本人没办法完成最后的整理和编辑，所以整本书显得很碎片散落。否则可以想象这将是一部经典的犯罪纪实文学。Golden State Killer真的是读过和看过（犯罪记录片里）最令人毛骨悚然的凶手之一了。他的罪行和几十年的逍遥法外对整个加州的影响在作者的寻找中和记录下让人跟着紧张，很容易想象当时的社会是怎样的一种窒息氛围。

英文有声书。DNF。题材很感兴趣，但是写得也太一般了。虽然算是业余作家可以原谅文笔，但是这个叙述太没逻辑了。

主要是倾佩作者的执着，耐心和细致。她老公坚持让这本书出版也是值得称赞，对她是一个慰藉吧。之后落网更是慰藉了。但是不是对crime题材特别感兴趣的到后面的耐心会被磨没了，也许作者自己写的话会更精彩。
