神經學與心理學談到過很多問題,唯獨沒有提及判斷力,而判斷力的崩潰恰恰是造成神經心理失調的根本原因,康德的哲學理論,還是經驗主義和進化論的觀點,都認為判斷力是高級生命和智商的第一要件,但機械的古典神經學卻忽視麯解它。如果追溯這些悖論始於何時,我們可以發現,它們自從神經病學創立之初就已發端, 隨著神經病學的發展,這些悖論就一直存在並越來越明顯。古典神經病學中提到的觀念也沒有錯,但構成我們生命本質的“心智”,不僅具有抽象化和機械性的特點,還非常人性化:它不僅能夠分辨歸類,還能不斷感覺和判斷。人一旦喪失心智功能,就會像電腦一樣.同樣的道理,如果把某個人的感覺與判斷功能刪除,那他就再也不能認識具體的客觀事物瞭。
