Max Weber (1864-1920), the German sociologist and historian, significantly influenced the development of modern social science through his attempts to develop a systematic methodology for cross-cultural studies. 读了一点intro, part1，跳着读了part2 大概get到韦伯的核心论点（其实就是，新教伦理与资本主义精神；以及对历史唯物主义的批判；Beruf的概念），见到熟悉的名词（ideal type）论证就不能说看懂了，只是支离破碎get到一些点，大段神学论述实在是tedious，极其催眠看不下去，决定放弃去读点更友好的东西，比如学校布置的阅读材料了啥时候变强了有缘再看8

对照的读的。比帕森斯版翻译更流畅，据说更加准确。底本是1905杂志版，1920版有几处文本的调整，但是也没想明白这些文本调整的用意。

关于本书：这本书很薄，因为缺了很多东西，首先是没有注释，韦伯的注释相当多，这里都没有，其次也没有一般译本中所包含的《新教教派与资本主义精神》。就翻译来说，读起来稍微有点拗口，很多地方我觉得翻译的句子结构顺序要不甚好。比较推荐广西师大版，那个版本貌似比较全。 ...
