著者簡介

ELIZABETH STROUT is the author of several novels, including: Abide with Me, a national bestseller and BookSense pick, and Amy and Isabelle, which won the Los Angeles Times Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction and the Chicago Tribune Heartland Prize, and was a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award and the Orange Prize in England. In 2009 she was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for her book Olive Kitteridge. Her short stories have been published in a number of magazines, including The New Yorker. She teaches at the Master of Fine Arts program at Queens University of Charlotte.

如果不是路程長，把有聲書一次聽完瞭，大約就永遠翻不完的一本小說。沒有很強的情節性，隻是細膩的情感，大約對我而言還是太過女性化瞭……

寫得如此隨意，毫無結構框架而言。這也並不是所謂的完整的故事。它絮叨又有矯情嫌疑。但很多環環相扣的小說我一旦放下就難以撿起來繼續讀完，反而這本斷斷續續閑著翻完，中間沒有絲毫不耐煩。我不是Lucy Barton，我成長得比她幸福太多，但我能夠明白傢人間無效甚至充滿恨意的交流，以及瑣碎堆積以緻痛苦無比的生活深處依然因為愛而看見的光亮，同時也是傢人間纔可達成的諒解。
