非常有力量的作品，结尾简直像颗子弹。最喜欢Pilate，她一家的合唱简直是古希腊歌队，低沉深厚的灵魂乐。每一段历史都是神话。My brother, my dreamer, my killer简直不能更配结局……

这本书跟《最蓝的眼睛》相比，后者是纯真的语言，而前者多了些叙述技巧。托尼·莫里森的语言文字把自然之物与人的感觉结合在一起。我个人认为，她写女人和小孩是很成功的，女性在她的笔下熠熠生辉，比如这本书的露丝，因为得不到丈夫的爱与性需求的满足，转而投向给年龄很大儿...

读了好久，终于读完了这本其实并不算大部头的书……故事到中后部才变得吸引人，前半部分太过平淡，铺陈太多，从普通读者的角度看着比较无聊，很多东西要看到后面才能理解作者的描述意图。不过读完之后，依然感慨万千，这可能就是好书的共性吧——不论阅读的过程如何，读完之后...
