想不到這本書居然還寫得很好，整個故事引人入勝。雖然很大成分上是法庭戲genre的功勞，但作者寫得這種多視角敘事也很帥。愛情還是挺感人的，人物刻畫也好。另外，介紹西北這種鮮為人知的人文事故也不錯，感受日本人受到的不公正也有意義。但問題也不是沒有，比如文筆隻是中上，整個故事很情節劇，性描寫太多、而且不必要等。不過說的上是娛樂，很快就看完瞭。

昨晚終於念完瞭Snow falling on cedars！感覺已經過瞭一個世紀那麼長。就像在艱難的長途跋涉後，終於迎來瞭靈魂的大圓滿。中文譯本去年纔齣，不確定翻譯得如何，但原著真是給上一萬個贊美。字句如詩如畫，描寫細膩入微。“豆瓣”上有一些讀者抱怨原著走筆拖遝，我實在不能苟同。必須要說，原著的遣詞造句之不“通俗”，或者說，之精妙，是需要有一定的英文閱讀量纔能體會到的（我也在這條艱難的升級道路上）。我從沒見過其他作者，寫一個凶殺案，敢牽扯齣十幾號人物，五六條副綫。每個人物的前世今生，都抽絲剝繭地講給你聽。於是你深刻明白瞭他/她為什麼做那樣的證詞，為什麼抱著那樣的偏見：一章一個人物，入戲感極強。他寫瞭法庭戲，寫瞭愛情戲，寫瞭戰爭，寫瞭漁民的大海生涯——David真的很敢寫。實力五星，力薦！
