把（当代）文学理论说得最清楚的一本书，至少对专业外的人来说是这样。

这本和伊格尔顿那本文学理论真是诚如LL老师所说常读常新，两年后再看，甚至每句话里的用词都能对应的上一连串从本雅明到德里达的reference。浅的下来，也深得下去，真棒。

如果只能二择其一，我更推荐伊格尔顿那本。这本简单明确，但由于过于短小，远不如伊格尔顿的有感动力。虽然伊格尔顿夹带私货也非常明显，但不可否认，他真是会写啊，相比之下，这本就有些无聊了（不是说枯燥，相反，它比伊格尔顿的好读，只是说不会有那么多让你回想悠久的点）。不过鉴于这本这么短，还是两本都读吧。

通常我不写书评。以前不小心写过一两篇文学作品读后感，譬如毛姆 《刀锋》，索尔·贝娄《莫斯比的回忆》，此后，只对非文学类的书籍写归纳性的读书笔记。原因是文学的解读门槛太高了。每次看到这两篇书评，总是悚然惊愧，每每看到便给自己一个警示。然而文学作品解读究竟是何意...
