V.S.奈保爾（V.S.Naipaul）：

英國著名作傢。1932年生於特立尼達島上一個印度移民傢庭，1950年進入牛津大學攻讀英國文學，畢業後遷居倫敦。

50年代開始寫作，著有《米格爾街》、《斯通與騎士夥伴》、《自由國度》、《河灣》、“印度三部麯”、《非洲的假麵劇》等。2001年，榮獲諾貝爾文學奬。

我看短評裏大傢偏愛的前兩個短篇時，心裏隻有WHAT THE ACTUAL FXXK 同名中篇纔能說得上是有質感。個人生活經曆大概是奈保爾創作的最重要源泉，他寫特立尼達的小城故事，清甜的熱帶氣息讓人動容；寫白人去南非尋找自由，能完美與人物共情；寫印度人的苦難，讓人覺得他歧視自己的種族。
